Nintendo has always been known for its tough fight against illegal distribution of its games, but never once has the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) been involved.

Today it was revealed that it was the FBI that shut down the popular nsw2u portal.

Here's What We Know

The nsw2u website had been operating since 2018 and was one of the main US sites where you could find pirated images of Nintendo Switch games in NSP and XCI formats. The site's administration regularly published updates, DLC and patches, in general, was active with content.

Now the main page displays a banner with the logos of American law enforcement agencies and a message about the blocking of the site, and the FBI seized the domains and servers and is establishing the identity of all involved in the work of the resource. In addition, the feds plan to prosecute users who actively posted content stolen from Nintendo.
