The electric Opel Frontera gets an extra 100 kilometres of range
Opel has presented a new modification of the electric crossover Frontera - Extended Range. It has a 59 kWh battery and can travel up to 409 kilometres without recharging using the WLTP cycle. Charging from 20 to 80 per cent will take about 30 minutes when connected to a 100-kilowatt station.
Here's What We Know
The Frontera Extended Range complements the available modification since the model's debut with a 44 kWh battery and a range of up to 305 kilometres.
Thus, the Opel Frontera range now includes two all-electric modifications and two hybrid versions. Buyers will also be offered two levels of equipment: Edition and GS.
All versions of the crossover, regardless of the powertrain, are characterised by a spacious interior and good practicality. The boot volume reaches 1600 litres, the backrest of the second row is folded in the proportion 60:40.
The basic Edition is equipped with a docking station for a smartphone and instead of the standard multimedia system you can use a mobile device. There are also many niches for storing small things and pockets for smartphones on the backs of the front seats. Wireless charging is available for an extra charge.
In Germany, the Frontera Electric with a 59 kWh battery is priced at a minimum of 31,190 euros, while the version with a 44-kilowatt battery will cost 2,000 euros cheaper.
