The fact that Playground Games is developing a new instalment of the popular Forza Horizon arcade racing series is no secret, but last week Australian company Cult and Classic revealed that the game's developers had visited its office to 3D scan cars in the Kei category, which are virtually unheard of outside of Japan.

Here's What We Know

Authoritative publication Windows Central got hold of internal Microsoft documents, the authenticity of which was later confirmed by insider Tom Henderson. They mentioned that the announcement of Forza Horizon 6 will take place at the Tokyo Game Show 2025, which will be held from 25 to 28 September.

Earlier there were active rumours that the races in Forza Horizon 6 will take place on Japanese streets and tracks and presenting the game at the event in the capital of Japan looks logical and organic.

When We Can Expect It

The head of Microsoft Gaming Phil Spencer hinted that Forza Horizon 6 will be released in 2026 and will be part of a large-scale celebration of the 25th anniversary of Xbox, but according to insider information the game will not be an exclusive and will be released immediately on PlayStation 5.
