Mazda presented a new electric crossover CX-6e at the Brussels Motor Show. It is a rear-wheel-drive model with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a capacity of 78 kWh, providing a range of up to 484 km according to the WLTP cycle. In Europe, sales will start in the summer of 2026.

What is known

The midsize crossover is equipped with an electric motor with a power of 190 kW and a torque of 290 Nm. Acceleration from zero to 100 km/h takes 7.9 seconds, with a top speed limited to 185 km/h.

The CX-6e supports fast DC charging with a capacity of up to 195 kW, replenishing the charge from 10 to 80% takes about 24 minutes. The built-in 11 kW charger also supports three-phase AC charging.

The interior features a 26-inch touchscreen with a customizable interface divided into two zones. Also provided are a head-up display, gesture control, and a voice assistant supporting nine languages.

The wheelbase of the CX-6e is 2902 mm. The trunk volume is 468 liters, which increases to 1434 liters with the rear seats folded. Buyers will be offered seven body colors, with Nightfall Violet declared as an exclusive shade for the model.

The President and CEO of Mazda Motor Europe, Martijn ten Brink, noted that the CX-6e brings Mazda's human-centric approach to the electric vehicle era, combining design, driving pleasure, and modern technology. According to him, along with the recently introduced Mazda6e, the new product accelerates the electrification of the company's model range in Europe.

The market entry of the CX-6e in markets with left-hand traffic is scheduled for a later date.
