Blizzard opens the “New Chapter”: a special video intrigued fans of Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft and other franchises of the famous studio
In 2026, Blizzard Entertainment celebrates its 35th anniversary. In honor of this event, the famous American studio released an impressive video, which both sums up the work already done and intrigues the public with its plans.
What's Known
The video highlights the workspaces of game designers, where computers and attributes of the respective time period are installed, which were used to create great game franchises — Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, World of Warcraft and its numerous expansions, Hearthstone, and Overwatch.
The authors stated that all these games “are crafted with skill that cannot be artificially replicated,” hinting that generative AI cannot replace talent, creativity, and creative passion.
At the end of the video, an abstract Blizzard developer takes a ballpoint pen and holds it above a blank sheet of paper, opening the very “new chapter of Blizzard.”
In the video description, Blizzard listed the schedule of upcoming shows:
- January 29, 18:00 (CET) — World of Warcraft broadcast;
- February 4, 19:00 (CET) — Overwatch broadcast;
- February 9, 18:30 (CET) — Hearthstone broadcast;
- February 11, 23:00 (CET) — Diablo broadcast.
Apparently, the new chapter of Blizzard will bring a lot of interesting things since the studio continues its New adventures lasting 20 years: Blizzard announced three major additions for World of Warcraft, which will be part of the Worldsoul Saga series, Diablo IV will soon receive a second expansion, Overwatch 2 regularly gets major updates, and in September, rumors suggest the studio Blizzard is preparing a mega-announcement: the long-awaited shooter of the iconic StarCraft franchise may be presented this year.
