The Fossil brand introduced its "smart" Gen 5 watch back in 2019, so it's long overdue for a successor in the Fossil Gen 6.
When?
The company has created a promo page on its website, which unfortunately does not name an official announcement date. However, its confirmed by an email sent by Fossil with a countdown timer. According to it, the presentation will take place in the early morning of August 30, i.e. as early as tomorrow.
In addition, the company has posted on its Facebook page a video teaserthat gives us a glimpse of Gen 6.
Recall, recently online retailer Amazon Snapdragon Wear 4100+, OLED screen, WearOS and SpO2 priced from 299 - Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch fully declassified. The watch will get a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+ processor and will run the WearOS operating system. But it is not Wear OS 3, unveiled in May. The OS will appear on Fossil smartwatches as an update sometime next year.
In addition, the Fossil Gen 6 is credited with 1,28-inch OLED screen with Always-Onfunction, water resistance to 50 meters, 24-hour battery life, heart rate monitor, blood oxygen sensor and built-in GPS. The watch will cost from 300 to 330 euros.
