Fossil in early summer hinted at the presentation of the new generation smartwatch Fossil Gen 6. All specs and prices were revealed by Amazon's online store.

Specifications

Fossil Gen 6 will receive Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+ processor and will run the operating system WearOS. The arsenal of future innovation will include all the major sensors, including SpO2 and heart rate monitoring sensor. In addition, the device will be able to track sleep quality and count calories spent.

Model will appear in two versions: 42 mm and 44 mm. Fossil Gen 6 will keep the design of its predecessors and offer users a round display with buttons on the right side. The screen will have a resolution of 416 x 416 dots, a diagonal of 1.28", and will be based on an OLED matrix.

The watch will be equipped with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Other highlights include Bluetooth 5.0 adapter, GPS navigation receiver and 5ATM water resistance. Battery life will be 24 hours in normal use, but battery capacity is not specified.

Price and availability

Fossil Gen 6 presentation date is not yet specified, but the upcoming novelty is expected to be on sale in Germany on September 27, 2021. The 44mm version will cost 329 euros. A model with a 42mm screen will cost €299.
