Authoritative publication GSMArena, citing Chinese sources, reports that Xiaomi 12 will not have a 200-megapixel image sensor. Instead, the smartphone got three 50-megapixel modules at once (main, ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lens).

At the same time 50-megapixel telephoto lens will get periscopic optics with 5x zoom without loss of quality. In that case, the world's first smartphone with a 200MP camera could be the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, which will additionally get a 10x zoom telephoto lens and an ultra-wide-angle unit.

Also do not forget about another version of Xiaomi 12, information about which appeared a few hours ago. We are talking about the modification on the Snapdragon 865+, which also promises 200-MP image sensor.
