Samsung won't release Galaxy Book Fold 17 laptop with flexible screen in 2022 (spoiler: all because of Microsoft)
Remember yesterday we told you that Samsung revealed Galaxy Book Fold 17: a laptop with a flexible OLED screen and a sub-screen camera like the Galaxy Z Fold 3 laptop with flexible screen and it may be shown in 2022? So now there is information that the novelty is not worth waiting for any time soon.
What is known
This was reported by insider and head of Display Supply Chain Consultants Ross Young. He confirmed that the Korean manufacturer was planning to release the device next year, but Microsoft, which is responsible for the OS, does not have time to optimize it for the laptop. Therefore, the gadget is unlikely to be released before 2023.
It has been in Samsung's roadmap for some time as a 2022 launch. But, lack of optimized operating system from Microsoft is expected to delay it.

Recall, the Galaxy Book Fold 17 is a laptop with a flexible OLED screen like the Galaxy Fold 3 and Galaxy Flip 3. The panel, when unfolded, is 17 inches diagonal. In laptop mode, the screen shrinks to 13 inches. In addition to the display, the novelty will also boast of a sub-screen webcam.
Not expected until 2023...
