Crash test confirms Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the most durable foldable smartphone
Recently, blogger JerryRigEverything tested the durability of the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 foldable smartphone and was pleased with the test results. Now the results of their tests have been published by American insurance company Allstate.
Surprised
So, Samsung claims that the new Galaxy Z Fold 3 is not afraid of water, and coating the flexible screen is 80% stronger than its predecessor. Added to this is the reinforced metal frame and stronger hinge. And these really aren't empty words!
Allstate published its findings on YouTube in a short video. Representatives from the company ran several tests to test the smartphone for durability. First, it was thrown from human height (about 180 cm) in folded and unfolded form. Landing on flexible display, the gadget only scratched the corners of the body. And when falling on the outer screen the glass was covered with lots of cracks. Nevertheless Galaxy Z Fold 3 did not lose its performance.
In addition, the smartphone "drowned" for 30 minutes in a pool at a depth of 1.5 meters to test whether it meets IPX8 protection rating. And it does indeed comply!
Allstate has summed up that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the most rugged foldable phone they've tested.
