Nokia T20, the Finnish brand's first tablet unveiled
Finnish company HMD Global, home of Nokia phones, introduced its first tablet - Nokia T20. The model marks the beginning of the brand's new T-series and is positioned as a device for work and entertainment thanks to its diverse features and long-lasting battery.
As with Nokia phones, security and software remain the focus of the brand's new product category. The tablet comes with 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of monthly security updates.
To foster children's creativity, Nokia T20 features Google Kids Space, a kid-friendly mode where kids can browse and use apps, books and videos to stimulate their inquisitive minds. Google Kids Space works in parallel with the child's Google account, which parents can manage through the Family Link parental control option.
Nokia T20 is designed with the same Scandinavian design philosophy as Nokia phones - a simple and clean silhouette, with a sense of ease of use. At the same time, the tablet is physically rugged: the sturdy metal body construction and polished 3D display bezel tightly attach the large screen to the slim body.
Nokia T20's powerful 8200 mAh battery gives you 15 hours of web browsing, seven hours of conference calling or 10 hours of movie watching. The tablet also supports fast charging feature.
The manufacturer also highlights the Nokia T20's bright 2K display and the convenience of video calling. The tablet is also certified SGS Low Blue Light, which means it doesn't strain the eyes when actively used.
Stereo speakers with OZO Playback provide surround sound for entertainment, audiobook reading and other tablet activities. Dual microphones ensure clear conversations without being affected by ambient noise.
Nokia T20 is a device included in the list of devices and services, which is tested by Google, i.e. it meets the strict corporate requirements of Google. The new tablet also works with HMD Enable Pro enterprise mobile device management solution.
Customers will be able to choose between modifications with or without 4G/LTE cellular support. The basic version will cost $250 in the U.S. and will go on sale on October 7.
