12 Xiaomi smartphones received global MIUI 12.5 firmware
It's been a while since there has been any news about the distribution of MIUI 12.5 software for Xiaomi smartphones. In that time, the global firmware has become available for a dozen models.
Xiaomi's flagship Mi 11 Ultra received MIUI 12.5 as v12.5.7.0 RKAMIXM. The update boosted security and only brought the OS patch for August this year. At the same time, the Lite version without support for fifth-generation networks got the September patch along with firmware v12.5.6.0 RKQMIXM. The update has fixed a number of issues with the fingerprint scanner.
European and global software builds are available for the recent Xiaomi 11T Pro. They are numbered v12.5.11.0 RKDEUXM and v12.5.5.5.0 RKDMIXM respectively.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 family also got a firmware update in Europe. The standard model and Pro version got MIUI 12.5 numbered v12.5.4.0 RFDEUXM, while the newer Lite variant is available with v12.5.4.0 RFNEUXM build. The main innovation is the addition of the Android operating system security patch for September. It's worth noting that the update is being sent out as part of Mi Pilot for now.
September patch also came to Redmi Note 8 (2021) and Redmi 10 with MIUI 12.5 update numbered v12.5.5.0 RCUEUXM and v12.5.5.0 RKUEUXM respectively. With this update for the second model, it has fixed the notifications not working correctly. The update is also available for Redmi 7A (v12.5.3.0 QCMEUXM).
An optimized MIUI 12.5 Enhanced firmware has been released for three more smartphones. Global version v12.5.9.0 RKBMIXM "arrived" on Xiaomi Mi 11. Last generation flagships received MIUI 12.5 Enhanced in Europe. The update is numbered v12.5.7.0 RJDEUXM.
Note that 11 smartphones are running Android 11 operating system. The only model that remains on Android 10 is the Redmi 7A.
