Google Pixel 6 - still a good camera phone priced from $599

Following Google Pixel 6 Pro the US company has introduced a more modest camera phone. The second novelty is called Google Pixel 6 and lacks some of the features of the older version.

What is the difference

Here we will not look in detail at all the technical characteristics of the smartphone, but focus only on its differences from the advanced version.

The main thing concerns the camera. It has lost the 48-megapixel telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom and remained with only two modules - the main one at 50 MP and the ultra-wide-angle one at 12 MP. The front camera resolution has been reduced from 11.1 MP to 8 MP, but that's of little interest.

The screen on the Google Pixel 6 is also set to be much more modest. It has FHD+ resolution, 6.4" diagonal and refresh rate of 10-90 Hz. The protection is still provided by the latest generation Gorilla Glass.

The amount of RAM has been reduced to 8GB, the battery capacity - to 4614 mAh. Wired charging is still at 30W, while wireless charging has been cut to 21W.

Pricing

The Google Pixel 6 is still a good camera, despite the lack of a telephoto module. Its price in the US starts at $599. In Europe, the novelty will be available for at least €649. For example, the same amount costs Xiaomi 11T Pro. Available colors are Kinda Coral, Sorta Seafoam and Stormy Black.
