About the game:

Beholder (Russian Beholder) is a video game developed by Warm Lamp Games and released by Alawar Entertainment.

The game was released November 9 2016  for platforms Windows, Linux, macOS, Android yes iOS.

The protagonist is Karl Stein, appointed house manager of a totalitarian state. His main task is to spy on the tenants of the apartment building. The player can search apartments, spy on tenants through keyholes or CCTV cameras that he can install in the apartments; blackmail residents for violations, and write reports on directive violators. The ministry requires reporting anyone who has broken the law.

The player has a choice: side with the people and help them escape punishment from the government, or follow all government commands. Throughout the game, the caretaker will communicate with the residents of the house and his own actions will determine how future events will unfold. As time goes on, an underground organization appears in the story. Karl has a choice: follow all the orders of the ministry or follow the orders of the underground organization. Depending on the choice, this will lead to different developments.

Karl and his family live in the basement of this house. They also have needs that need to be met (or not) during the game. There are two resources in the game: money and reputation. Reputation is needed to buy surveillance cameras (through which Carl will record violations or people's activities) and to have credibility among the residents. Money, in turn, for buying things for the house, completing tasks, paying groceries, fines, and renting an apartment.
