Motorola has unveiled the world's first smartphone based on the 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor. It was the Moto Edge X30, after all. Moreover, the rumors about the sky-high price tag were not confirmed.

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.67 ”FHD + OLED screen. The panel supports 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10 +. It has a peak brightness of 700 nits and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The novelty is the world's first smartphone with a 60MP front camera. Previous record - 50 MP.
The silicon heart of the Moto Edge X30 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC, which is complemented by 8/12 GB LPDDR5x RAM. The storage capacity, depending on the modification, was 128/256 GB. Built-in memory type - UFS 3.1. A 5000 mAh battery with 68-W TurboPower charging is responsible for autonomy.
The main camera was left without a telephoto lens. She received a main and ultra-wide-angle 50 MP modules, and the company made up a 2 MP image sensor for macro photography. There is optical stabilization and 4K support.
The Motorola Edge X30 runs Android 12 out of the box. The fingerprint scanner is installed on the right side. Among other things, we note the IP52 splash protection, USB-C, stereo sound with support for Dolby Atmos, NFC, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2. There is no headphone jack.
Prices
The world's first Snapdragon 8 Gen1 smartphone will be available on December 15th. The prices are pleasantly pleasing. Earlier there were rumors that the cheapest model on the new chip would cost at least $ 800.
The novelty was estimated at $ 500, $ 535 and $ 565, depending on the amount of memory. At the same time, all three versions of Moto Edge X30 will be available at the start of sales with a $ 30 discount.

At the presentation, the company showed a special version of the Moto Edge X30 with a built-in selfie camera. Its resolution is also 60 MP. They didn't say anything more about the smartphone.
