Mediatek released Press releaseconfirming that at least four major smartphone manufacturers will introduce phones with Dimensity 9000 in the first quarter of 2022. Honor representatives noted that they will use this chip in their gadgets, but they did not specify which ones.

However, the Chinese insider Digital Chat Station is confident that the basis of a folding smartphone Honor magic fold (tentative name) will not fall on the Dimensity 9000 and not even the Snapdragon 888+, which was previously attributed to it. According to him, the novelty will receive the top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen1 platform.

If so, Honor Magic Fold could be the first foldable smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen1 and outperform its competitors.
