Artificial intelligence banned from Grammy nominations

The American National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences has clarified that only humans can win the Grammys. The organisers have thus restricted artificial intelligence from taking part in the competition.

According to the updated rules, only humans can be nominated for the Grammys.

"A work that contains no human authorship is not eligible in any Categories".

Artists will still be able to use artificial intelligence tools to create music, but the work submitted must be "meaningful and more than de minimis".
