American model Kim Kardashian unsuccessfully promoted cryptocurrency last summer, for which she was fined more than $1 million.

In June 2021, Kim Kardashian posted a social media ad for the cryptocurrency EMAX. She added a link for customers and indicated that the post was promotional in nature. However, Kim did not specify that she received $250,000 for the post.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission notes that Kim Kardashian was required to disclose the funds received for advertising. As a result, the girl was fined $1.26 million. In addition, within three years, she will not be able to advertise cryptoprojects.
