Samsung leads the TV market for 17 consecutive years

Samsung has once again become the market leader in TVs. It has maintained the position since 2006, which is 17 years in a row.

Here's What We Know

In 2022, the South Korean manufacturer generated 29.7% of global TV sales revenue. Samsung's share in the $2,500-plus segment was 46.2%. It has not fallen below 40% since 2019.

In the reporting period, the South Korean technology giant sold 9.65 million TV sets based on Neo QLED premium panels. The series of TVs with quantum dot matrices appeared in 2017. Since then, total sales have reached 35 million units.

At CES 2023 early last month, Samsung announced a new generation of Neo QLED TVs. The 4K UHD models were priced at $1200-5800. The 8K UHD lineup costs from $3500 to $6300, but the price of the most expensive TV with 85" display has not been announced yet.
