New restrictions on chip exports to China hurt NVIDIA, Broadcom, Intel and Marvell stock prices

The US authorities decided to restrict exports to China of A800 and H800 computing accelerators along with GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards. Expectedly, this led to a fall in NVIDIA's shares. Securities of other players on the market also fell in price.

Here's What We Know

In 2022, the shares of companies that produce computing accelerators for artificial intelligence tasks rose rapidly. The new regulations were much stricter than those passed last year. This, of course, had a negative impact on the exchange rate dynamics.

As a result of the updated restrictions on access control in computing technologies NVIDIA shares fell by 6%. Broadcom shares fell by 3.5 per cent. Intel shares also fell by 3.5 per cent. Marvell securities are now 3.3 per cent cheaper than before the new restrictions were introduced.
