According to IO Interactive's job listing, the upcoming Project 007 may combine first- and third-person gameplay

Back in 2020, developer IO Interactive announced that it was working on a game based on James Bond, tentatively titled Project 007. However, since then, information about the project has been very limited, until the position of a combat designer appeared on the IO Interactive job site, which may indicate a diverse gameplay of the project.

Here's What We Know

As Tech4gamers noticed, the job posting suggests that the game can include both first- and third-person elements. According to the requirements, IO Interactive is looking for a person with experience in creating "combat scenarios for third-person (or first-person) adventure games". As for what exactly the perspective of the game will be from the first and third person in Project 007, the listing does not provide a clear answer.

Previous job listings have also pointed to other possible details for Project 007, such as "character-driven scenes with rich dialogue", an open-world story similar to Hitman, and other aspects. In addition, IO Interactive confirmed that the game will be an origin story and may be the beginning of a trilogy.

When We Can Expect It

In 2022, the publisher reported that Project 007 would be released no earlier than 2025.
