Some analysts have long predicted that mobile devices could fully replace game consoles and PCs in the near future, and after Apple's presentation it became obvious that we are as close as possible to this.

Here's What We Know

The American corporation Apple during the presentation of its new products surprised the public with an unexpected announcement.

Owners of iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be able to run such AAA games as Death Stranding, Resident Evil Village, a remake of Resident Evil 4 and not yet released Assassin's Creed Mirage.

Moreover, we are not talking about special versions of the games and not about running them through cloud services, but about full-fledged versions, identical to the console ones, with hardware support for ray tracing.

This is possible thanks to the new A17 Pro processor, which is 10 per cent faster and more efficient than the processors of the last iPhone model.

Apple is positioning the new devices as the best and most powerful smartphones for running video games.

Price & When We Can Expect It

Death Stranding, Resident Evil Village and the Resident Evil 4 remake will be released before the end of 2023 on the iPhone 15 Pro, while Assassin's Creed Mirage is scheduled for release in 2024.

The iPhone 15 Pro will cost a minimum of $999. Apple has priced the Pro Max version at $1199 for the base model. The launch of sales is scheduled for 22 September 2023, and pre-orders will be open as early as next Friday.
