Not CGI: Silent Hill 2 remake trailer is based on the Unreal Engine 5 and reflects the real game graphics

After the debut trailer of the remake of the Bloober Team's horror Silent Hill 2, many gamers wondered what was shown: the game engine materials or it was a specially created CGI-video.

A representative of the Polish studio Tomasz Gawlikowski clarified and said that the trailer was created on the game's engine - Unreal Engine 5.

According to him, the whole Silent Hill 2 remake will look exactly like the trailer.

A lot of people are asking if the Silent Hill 2 trailer is CGI? No, it was made on the UE5 engine. This is what the game is supposed to look like. I am incredibly proud of our team and cannot wait to see SH2 in all its glory.

The exact Silent Hill 2 release date is still unknown, the developers are giving us a terse "in 2023", but we know that the game will be released on PC and PlayStation 5.
