VGC editor-in-chief says Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake could be released as early as next year
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake rumors are so numerous that there is little doubt about its existence.
However, Konami, the company that owns the rights to the cult franchise by Hideo Kojima, still has not made any official announcement, limiting itself to vague hints.

The journalist speculates that an MGS3 remake will be announced soon, possibly at E3. However, there is a good chance that the show will be cancelled altogether, because more and more companies refuse to take part in it. For example, the other day it was reported that Ubisoft would prefer to hold their own presentation, and today it was reported that Sega and Tencent will also be skipping the show.
Robinson believes that if E3 is canceled, Konami will hold its own show and announce a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. According to the journalist, the Japanese publisher may be working on updated versions of other parts of the stealth action game.
It's often difficult to separate the facts from the conjecture on E3, but unsurprisingly I'm really not hearing good things. Would not be surprised at all if it's called off this week - but I hope it isn't. I feel so sorry for those behind it who did everything asked of them

The game is believed to be being developed by Virtuos, a studio that specialises in porting games, but there's no official confirmation of that either.
