It's time to retire: Google is ending support for the Pixel 4a

Google today released the September security update for Pixel smartphones. Unfortunately, it was not received by the Pixel 4a.

Here's What We Know

It looks like Google is ending support for the device. This means that the gadget will no longer receive monthly security patches and major updates to the Android operating system. By the way, the last software update for the device was released in August.

Flashback

The Pixel 4a debuted in 2020 with Android 10 on board, but the smartphone is now running on Android 13. The gadget has a 5.81-inch display, Snapdragon 730G chip, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of ROM, 12.2 MP camera, stereo speakers and a 3,140 mAh battery with 18W charging.
