Apple released iOS 16.1 Beta: what's new
Apple, four days after the release of iOS 16, has released a beta version of iOS 16.1.
Here's What's New About It
The developers have added several innovations to the system. For example, they changed the customization section. Now users can choose what to customize: the lock screen or the desktop.
In addition, in iOS 16.1 there is an option to activate the battery indicator in the iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini. Developers have also added the ability to remove the Wallet app, the Live Activities API and the Matter Accessories section in settings. It looks like Apple is working on smart devices that support the new Matter connectivity standard.
When We Can Expect It
Members of the beta testing program can already install the update. It is unknown when the stable version of iOS 16.1 will be released.
