Media: HBO movie company plans another Game of Thrones prequel

HBO is actively working on an expansion of the Game of Thrones universe.

A second season of the series House of the Dragon is currently in production, but it may not be the only prequel to the popular fantasy franchise.

Here's What We Know

According to Variety, HBO and Warner Bros. are considering filming another series about the Targaryen dynasty.

It is thought that the story will take place three hundred years before Game of Thrones, and will focus on the conquest of the six kingdoms of Westeros by Aegon I Targaryen and his sisters - Rhaenys and Visenya.

The series does not yet have a writer, but according to Variety, HBO management is interested in starting filming soon.

The series will also feature a full-length movie, which will be tied in with the prequel's storyline, before it airs.
