Sony has officially announced a possible increase in the cost of the PlayStation 5 due to the impact of new duties imposed by the United States. The company's chief financial officer Lin Tao said that the company will have to compensate for about 100 billion yen (over $500 million) in losses due to these tariffs, which could affect the price of the console for consumers.
