Elon Musk: Neuralink has implanted the first implant in a human brain

Neuralink, a company that develops brain implants, has implanted its product into a human for the first time.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared on Twitter by the founder of the company Elon Musk. He said that the operation was successful and the patient is now recovering.

Incidentally, Musk also revealed that Neuralink's first product is called Telepathy. Unfortunately, there are no details about it yet.

Flashback

Neuralink was founded in 2016 to develop technology that would allow the human brain to interact with computers and other devices. The idea is to create an interface between the brain and computers using neuralink technology. This technology could have a wide range of applications including improving cognitive function, treating neurological diseases and even improving the capabilities of the human body.

One of the key aspects of the Neuralink project is the development of thin electrodes that can interface with brain cells without damaging or destroying tissue.

By the way, Neuralink planned to start testing the chip on humans in late 2022, but the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) refused the company. Permission was eventually granted, but in May last year. Neuralink plans to conduct research for another six years.
