The invaders showed the wreckage of the Phoenix Ghost kamikaze drone, this is the first case of its combat use in the world (but this is not certain)
One of the Telegram channels serving the propaganda machine of Russia and its occupying army has published photos of the wreckage of a loitering munition known as a kamikaze drone. In the message, it was identified as the first combat use of the latest ammunition. Phoenix Ghost Aevex Aerospace, recently transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Pentagon as part of military assistance to Ukraine. Perhaps, in fact, we are talking about a different model, and it is not a fact that its application was unsuccessful, as the propagandists tried to convey.
What can be seen in the pictures
The photographs show the tail section of the drone, with the stabilizer deploying in flight.
Nearby are disconnected terminals and a battery (?)
The propeller is well preserved - it is practically not damaged.
Inside the case there are groups of numbers and letters 75 454, 19, 1939AAD570.
At the same time, the drone does not have a front part with a warhead at all, it is possible that it detonated, that is, the ammunition could well hit its target
Could it be the Phoenix Ghost?
In fact, there are no confirmed images of the Phoenix Ghost kamikaze drone anywhere - the official announcement of the transfer of such a system to the APU 121 was the first mention of their existence. It is also known that they are produced by the same AEVEX Aerospace, which also produces similar loitering ammunition Switchblade 300. If you compare the official image of the Switchblade 300 with the shown photo of the wreckage, you can find a lot in common. Although there is still no confirmation of the model of the drone used, in any case, no markings that allow it to be accurately identified as Switchblade or Phoenix Ghost is not in the pictures.
Indirectly, the use of the APU Switchblade confirms published Today, on the official Facebook page of the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Vladimir Monomakh, there is a video demonstrating the use of the Switchblade 300 ammunition. It is not reported exactly where this video was filmed (the message from the propaganda channel says that the pictures of the drone wreckage were taken in the Kharkiv region.
