Beaver drones with 800km range caused almost $1bn worth of damage to Russia - Ukraine reveals contents of Black Box

On November 15, 2022, the Black Box initiative was launched in Ukraine. A year later, the Come Back Alive Foundation for competent assistance to the army revealed what is in the box.

Here's What We Know

For a long time, residents of Ukraine asked the same question as Brad Pitt's character in the end of the film Se7en. As it became known, one of the elements of the Black Box is a kamikaze drone Bober (translated as Beaver) with a range of up to 800 kilometres.

These drones attacked the Russian Federation's capital several times in the spring and summer of 2023. The foundation said in a statement that UAVs caused more than $900 million worth of damage to Russia in the first eight months of 2023.

The kamikaze drones carried out combat missions in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, including Crimea, and also hit military facilities in Russia. The Black Box project made it possible to strike a factory producing electronics for Kh-31, Kh-35 and Kh-59 missiles, as well as a warehouse with components for the Iskander operational-tactical missile system.
