Bayraktar TB2 drone and Ukrainian howitzer "Bogdana" destroy Russian vehicles and equipment on Snake Island (video)
General Valery Zaluzhny published a video of artillery strikes on the positions of the Russian army on Snake Island.
What we know
A few hours ago, the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that after rocket and artillery strikes, Russian troops began to evacuate the island. The Russian Ministry of Defense has confirmed that their troops are leaving the island.
In order to defeat the Russian army, the Ukrainian self-propelled howitzer 2S22 "Bogdana" was used. Fire adjustment was carried out using a drone Bayraktar TB2. The firing range of howitzer is 35-40 km with high-explosive fragmentation projectiles and 45-60 km with active-rocket projectiles. The distance from the island to mainland Ukraine is just over 30 km.
2SS22 "Bogdana" is equipped with a 155-mm cannon and can fire up to six shots per minute. This is the first self-propelled artillery unit, which was designed for the NATO caliber 155 mm. It is based on the KrAZ-63221 chassis.
