The Pentagon confirmed the transfer to Ukraine of two NASAMS air defense systems, ammunition for M142 HIMARS and shells for 155-mm howitzers

The head of the Ukrainian presidential office Andriy Yermak said that the Pentagon has confirmed the transfer of another package of military aid.

What we know

It seems that the saga with air defense systems NASAMS has come to an end. On the eve of the NATO summit in Madrid it was reported that the US will send anti-aircraft missile systems NASAMS to Ukraine. It became known that our country will receive two Norway-made air defense systems at once.

The $820 million military assistance package includes additional ammunition for multiple launch rocket systems M142 HIMARS and up to 150,000 shells for 155mm artillery systems. Other sources report that Ukraine will also receive four additional counter-battery radars.
