Ukraine begins to receive missiles for HIMARS, more long-range than when supplies began

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said on national TV marathon that Ukraine has already started receiving longer-range missiles for HIMARS.

What we know

Ahead of the Rammstein-4 meeting on July 20, Danilov was asked about the possibility of supplying 300 km range rockets for multiple rocket launchers HIMARS. The secretary replied that the Armed Forces of Ukraine could indeed receive such projectiles for U.S. installations in the near future.

In addition, Danilov stressed that the Armed Forces are already receiving "longer-range" rockets for multiple launch rocket systems HIMARS than those got at the end of June, when the first MLRSs arrived in Ukraine HIMARS. However, he did not provide exact data on the range. It should be noted that according to official data, the U.S. supplied only projectiles with a range of up to 80 km.

Oleksiy Danilov also noted during the TV marathon that our country is beginning the transition to weapons according to NATO standards. One of the reasons is that Europe is already running out of Soviet shells of 152 and 122 mm caliber. Because of this, Ukraine is beginning to receive more 155mm armaments.
