The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the Russian Repellent-1 station, which is used to suppress the operation of drones
On July 19, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated the Russian electronic warfare station Repellent-1.
What we know
The station was installed near the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. It is assumed that the strike was carried out by multiple rocket launcher HIMARS. However, it has not been officially announced.
"Repellent-1" was introduced in 2016. A 17-meter telescopic mast carries an electronic reconnaissance station along with an all-round vision camera. The command post is in an armored bunker with protection against chemical and bacteriological weapons.
"Repellent-1" can detect small air objects at a distance of up to 35 km. At the same time the suppression of unmanned aerial vehicles is carried out at a distance of up to 2.5 km.
It should be noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already destroyed at least three Repellents-1. The first station was struck on May 1. The second Repellent-1 was taken out of action in early summer.
