Russia starts to use new S-400 SAMs costing over $100,000,000 to bombard Ukrainian cities
Russian Army Uses S-300 Surface-to-Air Missile System with GPS to Hit Ground Targets we found out that Russia was using S-300 surface-to-air missile systems to attack ground targets. Now newer S-400 SAMs are being used.
What we know
On the morning of July 28, Russia launched a massive missile strike against Chernihiv region. The Russians launched more than 25 missiles from the territory of Belarus. This time S-400 SAMs were used along with S-300 surface-to-air missile systems.
The cost of one division, which includes four machines, is approximately $500,000,000. The S-400 entered service with the Russian army in the spring of 2007. The missile system is used for elimination of means of air attack, including hypersonic ones.
The S-400 can detect targets at ranges up to 600 kilometers. Its maximum speed should not exceed 4.8 km/sec.
