The Ukrainian Armed Forces showed a convoy of Ukrainian missile systems "Vilha" with corrected 300-mm ammunition
The Armed Forces of Ukraine demonstrated several domestic Vilha multiple rocket launchers.
What we know
"Vilha" is a Ukrainian missile system that uses 300 mm caliber corrected ammunition. Work on it began in 2016. The tactical missile system is based on the Soviet Smerch multiple-launch rocket system.
Vilha was adopted into service in 2018. In the war against the Russian army, the tactical missile system has been used since the first days of the invasion, but in the video we saw the operation of the missile system only once, in July.
Vilha has twelve rails and can destroy enemy targets up to 110 km away. One 300 mm missile is 7.6 m long and weighs 860 kg, including a 250 kg warhead. A full salvo is fired in 48 seconds.
