The General Directorate of Intelligence lured a Russian Mi-8 helicopter into Ukraine, with spare parts for Su-27 and Su-30 fighter jets on board

The Ukrainian General Directorate of Intelligence has carried out a special operation during which a Russian Mi-8 helicopter was lured into Ukraine.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by a representative of intelligence on the air of the telethon. He did not disclose details, but according to Ukrainska Pravda's sources in the intelligence services, the operation lasted 6 months. During the operation, the pilot of the Mi-8 AMTSH cooperated with Ukrainian intelligence and landed the helicopter in Kharkiv region.

The aircraft was travelling between two airbases and carrying parts for Su-27 and Su-30 SM fighters. During the flight there were two crew members on board besides the pilot. After the helicopter landed, they were eliminated. As for the pilot, he and his family, who were taken out of Russia, are now in Ukraine.
