Pentagon allocates $24 million to purchase Titan counter-drone systems to fight enemy combat drones

The U.S. Department of Defense is looking for new tools to combat enemy drones.

What we know

The Pentagon has its eye on BlueHalo's Titan counter-drone system. The development is designed to suppress military-grade drones. It can automatically detect the type of drone and choose the most appropriate means to incapacitate the UAV.

The radius of action of the technology to suppress drones is 1.5 km. At the same time, the Titan system can detect drones at a distance of up to 3 km. The complex itself is made in the form of a large block with antennas, which provides remote control. But it is not necessary to use a remote control, because the system maintains autonomous operation mode without operator's participation.

It is not known yet how many Titan complexes will be delivered to the Ministry of Defence. There is only information that we are talking about "several units". The contract amount is $24 million.
