Ukraine requested tactical ballistic missiles MGM-140 ATACMS with launch range up to 300 km for HIMARS and M270 MLRS from the USA
According to The Wall Street Journal, Ukraine has submitted a request to the U.S. Congress for the deliveries of offensive weapons for 2023.

The publication notes that the document lists dozens of types of weapons, and the greatest interest is the presence on the list of tactical ballistic missiles MGM-140 or simply ATACMS. Previously, the U.S. was wary of transferring such missiles to Ukraine, explaining this as a risk of starting World War III.
ATACMS (Army Tactical Missile System) is a tactical ground-to-ground ballistic missile produced by the Lockheed Martin company. It can reach speeds of up to 1500 m/s and is capable of engaging enemy targets at ranges of up to 300 km (up to 165 km in Block 1 modification). Ukraine already has appropriate M142 HIMARS, M270 MLRS and MARS II multiple rocket launchers for ATACMS.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the request contains 29 names of weapons. Ukraine also requests tanks, unmanned aerial vehicles, artillery systems and anti-ship missiles Harpoon.
