Flashback

The M1 Abrams is a third-generation main battle tank manufactured in the United States. The tank is named after General Creighton Abrams, former U.S. Army Chief of Staff and commander of the U.S. Armed Forces in Vietnam from 1968 to 1972. The M1A1 Abrams is an upgraded version of the M1 Abrams, which entered the US service in 1991. The main weapon of the tank is a 120 mm smoothbore gun M256, developed at the German concern Rheinmetall Waffe Munition GmbH.

By the way, apart from 116 M1A1 Abrams tanks, Poland also ordered 250 Abrams M1A2 SEPv3 tanks from the US. That is, all Poles will get about 300 American tanks.
