Unexpectedly: realme Pad won't get Android 12 update

During the Q&A session on the official forum, realme announced bad news for the owners of the realme Pad tablet.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer has no plans to update the device to the current Android 12. Recall that the gadget entered the market in September 2021 with Android 11 on board. That is, there is no need to wait for major OS updates for the tablet. Instead, he will only receive monthly security patches.

What the manufacturer does not say about such a decision. By comparison, a competitor Nokia T20 which also debuted in the fall with Android 11 promises to update three years (two years of OS updates and three years of security patches). 

Recall realme Pad It has case with thickness 6.9 mm, 10.4-inch screen with IPS-matrix and a resolution of 2000 × 1200p, a MediaTek Helio G80 processor paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 ROM, a memory card slot, four speakers with Dolby Atmos technology, and a 7100 mAh battery. It charges via the USB-C port using an 18W power adapter. The tablet is equipped with a single 8 MP front camera and the same main one.
