Sony AI Announces Big AI News for Gran Turismo 7 on February 9th
Sony AI and Polyphony Digital have released a teaser for the joint project, which will be presented on February 9th. The announcement is related to the Gran Turismo franchise.

The trailer shows the Gran Turismo logo near the end, as well as images of car engines and players with steering wheels. Late last year, Sony AI and Polyphony collaborated on a project that explored the possibility of teaching AI how to drive cars in Grain Turismo based on visual cues. The teaser features the slogan "Race Together”, indicating that the company plans to showcase a breakthrough in the game's racing artificial intelligence.
Sony AI is Sony's new research and development division for artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics.
Gran Turismo 7 is Polyphony Digital's latest project, scheduled to launch on March 4 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Last week, Sony hosted a State of Play showcase showcasing 30 minutes of new gameplay.
