Samsung Introduces Portable T7 Shield Water and Shock Resistant SSD Up to 2TB

Korean manufacturer Samsung has announced a new portable SSD Portable T7 shield.

What is known

The novelty has received compact dimensions, a metal case with a rubberized coating and protection against water and dust IP65. In addition, the T7 Shield Portable is drop resistant up to 275 cm. The device supports read speeds up to 1050 MB/s and write speeds up to 1000 MB/s. According to Samsung, this is 1.9 times more than SATA-based portable SSDs. The novelty is compatible with PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and game consoles.

Issue price

Samsung Portable The T7 Shield has already started selling in the US. The novelty is available in two versions: 1 TB and 2 TB. Ask for the first $160, and for the second - $290.
