Huawei unveils FreeBuds 5i with improved ANC, Bluetooth 5.2 and autonomy up to 28 hours for $90
Huawei unexpectedly showed the new FreeBuds 5i fully wireless headphones in China.
What is known
The novelty is the successor of last year's FreeBuds 4i. The headphones have received a slightly updated look, as well as an improved active noise cancellation system. The technology is capable of damping noise up to 42 dB. For comparison, in the previous model, this figure was 22 dB. Connecting FreeBuds 5i to smartphones and other devices Bluetooth 5.2.
10 mm drivers are responsible for the sound in the new product. The headphones support the LDAC codec, Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification, and pairing with multiple gadgets. The FreeBuds 5i has a gaming mode with audio latency up to 94ms. As for autonomy, the headphones will live up to 6 hours with ANC (7.5 hours without ANC). The charging case will increase this to 18.5 hours with ANC (28 hours without ANC). Headphones are controlled using touch panels. The novelty can be configured through an application on a smartphone.
Price and when to expect
Huawei FreeBuds 5i is already available for pre-order in China for $90. Sales of the device will begin on June 18.
