The Armed Forces showed in action an extremely rare Ukrainian Oplot tank - Ukraine has only six such combat vehicles
A short video has appeared on the Internet that shows an extremely rare Ukrainian Oplot tank in action. According to open sources, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have only six such tanks.
What we known
The Oplot is a Ukrainian battle tank developed in 2008. It was put into service in 2009. The tank has a conventional layout, Varta active protection and Duplet dynamic protection.
The fighting vehicle is equipped with a 1200 HP engine, which allows speeds of up to 70 km/h on the highway. On a cross-country terrain the tank can reach 45 km/h. The maximum cruising range is 500 km.
Oplot received a KBA-3 gun of 125 mm caliber. The ammunition consists of 46 rounds. Additional armament includes a 12.7 mm and 7.62 mm NSVT and PKTM machine gun respectively. The tank can also be fitted with anti-tank guided missiles Kombat.
