The United Kingdom will transfer 3 more M270 MLRS rocket systems. Ukraine Armed Forces already have 3 M270 MLRS, three MARS II and 16 HIMARS
Great Britain has decided to double the quantity of multiple rocket launchers M270 MLRS for Ukraine.
What we know
This was announced by Ben Wallace, Minister of Defense of the United Kingdom. He noted that the UK had previously transferred three M270 MLRS to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Three more multiple launch rocket systems will be sent to Ukraine in the near future in lieu of additional ammunition.
The Secretary of Defense said the UK likes the way the AFU is using the systems M270 MLRS. According to Wallace, the Ukrainian military knows which targets to hit so that the shells do not run out quickly.
Recall that Ukraine received the first reactive systems M270 MLRS in mid-July. Now in the arsenal of the Armed Forces there are 16 units of M142 HIMARS, three M270 MLRS and three MARS II.
