The Age of Empires IV anniversary update, which will bring with it the Ottoman Empire and the Malians, will be released on October 25!

Not that gamescom was full of unexpected announcements - the insiders did their best, and we knew almost everything about most of the games. But there were some pleasant surprises. For example, we were shown a free Age of Empires IV DLC, which will bring two new civilizations - the Ottoman Turks and the Malians.

The developers were sparing on the details, but judging by the video material, the Malians rely on active combat operations aimed at exhausting the enemy, and the Ottomans believe in the unshakable power of their empire.

In addition to these two civilizations, the free Anniversary Update will also include new maps, achievements and skills, as well as content announced for Season 3 in our June 2022 roadmap.

The DLC will be released on October 25. After that, the number of playable civilizations in Age of Empires IV will increase to ten.
