McLaren has shown a car that previously existed only in pictures and in the video game Gran Turismo.

Here's What We Know

The concept car is called Solus GT, but fans of the Gran Turismo series know it as McLaren Ultimate Vision Gran Turismo. The car is equipped with a 5.2L atmospheric V10 engine, which has a power of 840 hp. The vehicle is designed exclusively for racing tracks. It is forbidden to move on public roads.

McLaren Ultimate Vision Gran Turismo appeared in a series of video games five years ago. The real-life counterpart, called the Solus GT, has one seat and a huge antifender, and the wheels extend on a shock-absorbing suspension, just like in the game version of the car.

The novelty can accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. The top speed of the Solus GT is 322 km/h. Only 25 cars will go on sale at a price of almost £3 million.
