Xbox Cloud Gaming will be available on Meta Quest VR

Microsoft is launching its Xbox Cloud Gaming platform on Meta Quest VR. The two companies announced the partnership at Meta's Connect event on Tuesday, October 11, but have not yet announced a release date.

Here's What We Know

"With Xbox Cloud Gaming, you will be able to play 2D games thanks to your Xbox controller, and the image will be projected onto the big screen in Quest," Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said during the announcement.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to play the same Halo Infinite as a game in VR, but Cloud Gaming's impressively sized library will allow you to run games on a huge screen right in front of you anywhere in the world with a good internet connection. It's also one of the ways Microsoft is developing cloud gaming technology, which it looks like it's going to aggressively push further, especially after its competitor Stadia pulled out.

In addition to Cloud Gaming, Microsoft of Meta is also working on porting many of the company's services, including work chat app Teams, as well as the Microsoft 365 suite.
